I don't believe there's evidence that lockdowns work but I do believe that distance works. Because you could have lockdowns or no lockdowns and still do plenty of social distancing. So I think the problem is that Donald was probably, and I think this is true, he was looking at lockdowns not working. Which I totally understand. If you told me lockdowns don't work and the data proves it I would say oh okay. I mean that makes sense to me because the difference between the lockdown and the no lockdown was not that big. Because even if you didn't lock down you probably socially distanced within the store or masked within the store, did more curb pickup, more take out, right?
So yeah lockdowns probably didn't work especially if you calculate in the economics. But social distancing, that has to work. There's no way it could not work. You know I don't know how much data you would have to show me to tell me social distancing doesn't work but I'm not going to believe any of it. I wouldn't believe any of it.
