like yep sure enough the rational part of your brain is a rationalizer. It rationalizes the decision. It doesn't make the decision. What makes the decision is some combination of irrational impulses. But then after it's made your little rationalizer says oh it's because I could see the greater opportunity in that direction. And maybe sometimes it's true too but it's usually not why you made the decision.

So we're going to have a big problem with believing in free will once AI can tell you what you're going to do before you do it. That will be the end of the free will argument. And that's coming. You know I've long predicted, if you like my other predictions you'll like this one too, I've long predicted that the belief in free will will be destroyed.
