Because even his biggest critics will admit he's working his ass off, right? So he retreats to something that even his biggest critics will grudgingly say, "All right, well, he does work his ass off." That's true. So he's already won half the battle because he moved them to a place where they agree with him. He works his ass off. And compared to Biden, it's really striking, right?
