nary. So, so good. Well, speaking of mind blown, some of you know, but if you didn't know, yesterday Owen Gregorian held a spaces event. That's the audio feature with an X where people can volunteer to talk and it's audio only. And the topic was, despite the fact that Venezuela had just been taken over, the topic was about me. So Owen generously did an entire spaces that lasted, and here's the amazing part, it lasted six and a half hours. People wondered, Scott, did you actually listen to that? Yes, I did. Now, I couldn't listen to it all live. I was dipping in and out because I had people coming in and out and nurses and a bunch of medical stuff. But after it was done and I had some serious pieces of my own time, I listened to the whole thing and I was blown away. People saying very nice things, there were tears, there were compliments. But I wanted to especially call out some people I'm really proud of. And that's the people who were terrified about public speaking. And here's the key. They did it anyway. They did it anyway. Now, I hope I may have been part of your journey to realize that freedom from embarrassment is a superpower. And I saw a number of people mention that as a superpower. And I will tell you, I was watching people who have obviously acquired that superpower do things that they were clearly uncomfortable with. And it all worked out. It all worked out. So to those of you who were frightened but did it anyway, here's to you. Second sip. And if you were concerned about reciprocity, another thing I talk about a lot, boy, did you pay it off? Wow. Well, anyway, Owen is planning on another different topic. He's going to follow after the show. He'll do another spaces. And by the way, Owen was amazing. If you want to hear somebody be a good host, if you want to see how it's done, listen to Owen. Just amazing. Anyway, he'll do a second one after the show. But this one will be more about not about me. It'll be about Venezuela. I think probably some other things will come up, bu

me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine of the day, the thing that makes everything better. It's called the simultaneous sip. It happens now. Go. Perfect. All right. Everything's going to go well now from now on. And I finally figured that if I watch your comments on my phone, I can pause them so I can really see what's going on here. The show will just get better and better every time. Did I leave something out? It's going to take me a while to get back on plan. All right, here's the real secret of today's show. You want to know a behind-the-curtain secret? I don't know if it's because of the meds, but I had plenty of sleep last night, you know, relative to what I usually get. However, I'm very aware that my IQ is down about 40 percent this morning. And you probably have asked yourself, Scott, it must be difficult to do a podcast because you have to kind of quickly catch up on all these complicated stories and then summarize them and put them in order and then make some kind of interesting observation. It's really hard. I don't know if you've ever taken the time to think about it, but it's not like I have a team of writers or anything. I do this myself. So in order to make this work, this podcast, I need every bit of my mental capacity. Do you know how much I have available to me this morning? Not every bit. I'm not even close to being smart enough to do the thing that I'm going to attempt to do right in front of you. I'm really mentally degraded at the moment. This morning while I was putting my notes together, I woke up five times, which means that without trying, I was just workin

quite the quality I was hoping for. That was the feedback I got. And this is a little bit better. It's not as good as the Shure studio microphone, but I don't have a convenient way to set that up. I bought myself a microphone stand that will allow me to put it on the floor and then have the studio microphone in front of me. But that's what's happening. Hey, you want to talk about the news? That's why you're here, right? Have some fun, hang out with each other. By the way, I am kind of happy about the fact that I seem to have accidentally pioneered a new form of entertainment. The new form of entertainment is yeah, we're going to talk about the news and yeah, you might learn some things and maybe you get a reframe. But it's more about hanging out because it seems that the biggest problem people have—certainly at a certain age, maybe at every age, but certainly beyond a certain age—people don't really have friends. Have you noticed that? They have family members, they have co-workers, they have neighbors, but people don't really for the most part have a lot of friends. So what I do sort of accidentally is I created this—I don't know, kind of a—I don't even want to call it entertainment although I hope to make it entertaining. But it just feels good to know that there'll be a time a day every day including weekends and holidays that I'll be here and that I do it for you and you do it for me and that just feels good. So shall we begin? Sure. So according to PsyPost, a writer is writing about this, that the spice saffron might help with erectile dysfunction. So I'm reading this long article about how if you give people saffron pills that they will have much better sexual function. A

cle. I didn't make that up. Somebody actually studied to see if Gaza residents are stressed out lately. I'm pretty sure they are. Next time, just ask Scott. What if there's any other studies that didn't need to be done? The Euro News says that TikTok scrolling can cause what they call brain rot. What do you think I would have said if they had asked me, "Scott, we're going to spend some money on a study to find out if TikTok scrolling causes brain rot"? And I'd say, oh, hold on, hold on. Sit right back down. You don't need to study that. Just ask Scott. Yes. Yes, it does. All right. Well, apparently President Trump signed an order that's being compared to the Manhattan Project. Why is it being compared to the Manhattan Project? Well, because that's what we do. It's either going to be worse than Watergate. It's going to be as big as the Manhattan Project. It's going to be worse than the Holocaust or it's going to be bigger than Neptune. I don't know. There's probably a big planet out there. But this Manhattan Project now it'll be connecting our, I guess the US technology for AI will try to be emphasized across a variety of industries and domains and the idea is to connect 40,000 USA scientists and engineers in some kind of a massive all-country effort to be the leaders in AI. So

t. Maybe tingles, maybe something in your chest. You can feel this one, can't you? You see what I'm doing? I'm just taking the persuasion. I'm just pushing it a little extra 'cause it's good for you. You like it. There you go. There you go. Oh, here's a good one. Damn, these are good. So the usual frame. This is one you've heard before, but no matter how many times you hear it, it's not enough. The old way of thinking about luck is that it's random and can't be managed. How many of you think that luck by definition, which would be a reasonable thing, it would be reasonable that you thought that luck is completely random and therefore it can't be managed. So you're just a victim of chance. Well that's the old way of thinking. Here's a reframe. You can go where there's more luck. You can go where there's more luck. If you wanted to be an entrepreneur and you made the mistake of moving to the desert and you didn't even have neighbors and there was no jobs there, how much luck would you have? It wouldn't work out. But if you wanted to be an entrepreneur and you moved to the Bay Area and you did all the things that network and meet people and take the right jobs and go work for the right company and learn the right skills. Yeah, you can totally manage your luck. Are you kidding me? Luck might be the easiest thing you could ever manage. You just do all the things that bring luck like be around successful people, build your talent stack, have a system instead of a goal. Absolutely. You can control luck. Absolutely. All right. Here's one that's more about just not. This one's ve

people feel, we're way more similar in how we feel than in how we talk. So if you get an opinion poll, people will be talking in all different ways, but the way they feel about it might just be one of two ways. It either bothers you or doesn't bother you. And that would just be amazing if you do that on every topic. I think that's Trump's superpower is that he can feel how people feel somehow. All right. There was a Nobel Prize awarded to the first mainland Chinese scientist and also a woman. I think that's worth noting for China. And she discovered an artisan malaria cure. Oh wow. She saved millions of lives with a malaria cure. Damn, that's pretty impressive. But instead of being impressed by the science, I'm going to impress you with a joke that somebody told about this topic. This is one of the best jokes I've ever seen. And it's by Mabobo Ya Naduki who may or may not be a real person. I can't tell online but you have to listen to this joke. So the article says that her name is Tu Youyou and she won the Nobel Prize. Now this of course is a great honor you know we should be showing her maximum respect. So her name is spelled Tu. The first name is just Tu and then the last name is just the word "you" put together twice. Youyou. And here's the joke from Mabobo. Also, she is the most difficult person to sing happy birthday to. Happy birthday to you. You. Come on. I think that joke had 16 million views when I checked this morning. That's a quality joke. That's a quality jok
